Operating Instruction

1. Application

   The Spring Piston Pressure Reducing Valve is a new generation replacement product of the Spring Diaphragm Reducing Valve,and it has the following advantages over the later:

  [1].Longer service life, no problem of diaphragm damage.

  [2].Higher pressure resistance. When the outlet pressure is high, the diaphragm will not work, and the piston type can be applicable for a higher outlet pressure.

   This product is applicable for water ,air and non- corrosive liquid, and the working temperature ranges 0-120℃. It can take place of the conventional partition pipe in the hot and cold water supply systems of urban buildings and tall buildings so as to save resources. This valve also can be used in the hot and cold water supply systems of all kinds of the air compressor equipment to reduce and stabilize the pressure.

2. Working Principle

   [1].The valve throttles through the disk, and reduces the inlet pressure to a needed outlet pressure. It makes use of the energy of the medium itself so that the outlet pressure automatically meets the predetermined requirement to achieve the function of pressure relief.

   [2].The medium goes into from upward and out from down.When adjusting the outlet pressure,adjust the screw clock-wisely so that the piston moves down to open the main valve and change the throttle area and cause the pressure loss,and then after to reduce and stabilize the pressure.

   The media flows through the X channel into the piston chamber and maintain a balance with the pressure above the piston. Therefore,when the pressure and flow rate changes,the throttle area of the main valve will stay a relative position.Because of the unloading mechanism, the inlet pressure change’s will take less influence on outlet pressure and meanwhile it will increase the area of outlet pressure,that is, to increase the area of sensing element,which  reduce the outlet pressure deviation,and greatly improve the accuracy of pressure relief

7. Installation and Usage of Attention

[1].. Before installation, should carefully check whether the service condition is corresponded with the nameplate fixed on the valve.

[2].The valve can be installed both in the horizontal and vertical pipeline, and the arrow on the valve body should be consistent with the flow direction.

[3].Typical installation should be shown as below:

[4].When installation, the following work should be carried out :

(1)take off the valve cover at both ends;(2)Check whether the bolts are loose;(3)the pipe before the valve must be washed cleanly.

[5].The valve is to do only the role of decompression,do not have the cut-off effect;a filter should be installed before the pressure reducing valve.

[6].When in use, the adjusting screw is rotated in a clockwise direction, and the outlet pressure is reduced to the required pressure and then after the screw should be locked.

8. Pressure Regulating Method

[1].Close the globe valve before the pressure reducing valve and open the globe valve after the pressure reducing valve to produce a low pressure environment.

[2].The adjusting screw is rotated counter clockwise to the upper position (relative to the lowest outlet pressure), and then close the gate valve after the pressure reducing valve.

[3]. Slowly open the gate valve before the pressure reducing valve to full open

[4]..Turn the adjusting screw clockwise slowly and adjust the outlet pressure to the required pressure (subject to the gauge pressure ). After the adjustment, the locking nut is locked, and the gate valve after the pressure reducing valve is opened

If the outlet pressure is higher than the setting pressure, the adjustment should be started again from the first step, that is, from low to high pressure.
